The Ambassador Seoul - A Pullman Hotel

Recently reopened and rebranded as Pullman, this Ambassador Hotel has been around for a while — and the expertise shows. Staff is attentive in the best way possible, never pushy but always quick to help. They reminded us of the great 5* star hotels of the olden days that are getting more and more difficult to find. While the rooms have gotten a *very* stylish makeover, quality materials and appliances have been used all over. Thanks to great maintenance, neither of our two rooms have shown any sign of wear. We’ve stayed in our fair share of luxury hotels in Seoul, including the higher end sister property (Sofitel in Songpa-gu), this Pullman hotel easily wins in overall ambiance. Even zooming out — I’d be hard pressed to name a better affordable 5* that’s impressed me the same way. We’ll be back for sure.

The hotel is tucked away in a slightly more quiet part of Seoul so you escape a lot of the busy traffic. The room was perfect for us especially the big TV and fully equipped bathroom - we were really impressed by this. Chungmuro metro station is just a short walk around the corner to access the rest of the city. The standout at this hotel is the staff who were very polite, thoughtful and happy to help. Amazing housekeeping staff too who made sure we had complimentary bottles of water on the exceptional hot days we experienced. I must say that the lobby bar was one of the best I've encountered in terms of drink selection and ambiance, it was a highlight of the evening when we went there.

Excellent location, right next to a nice neighbourhood with bars/restaurants, Myeong-dong (shopping) and several metros. Rooms itself were nice, with a comfy bed, while the breakfast buffet is very good.

Very nice Premium hotel with very good facilities. The location is good with lot's of options nearby. It's 30mins walking distance from the street food place. I didn't choose the breakfast option because I thought it was too expensive. I walked by the breakfast area though and they had a great selection. For a light breakfast, it's not worth it. Also, the prices at the bar are for people who don't care about the bill. For me, it was not worth the value.

Very clean and comfortable. We stayed on an executive club floor, the reception was exceptional. The view from the 18th floor club lounge is great. The restaurant has a very good buffet; it is not cheap but it’s glorious and makes one happy!
